As a Heritage in Schools Specialist I am lucky to work with a number of schools around the country, helping the students to design their school gardens and outdoor education spaces, as well as introducing Permaculture to our younger generation. We investigate local heritage, mythology and biodiversity as inspiration for these designs, forging connections with place, integrating nature exploration and increasing a sense of belonging in the whole school population.
